Meet the Owner, Ray Wright
After years of working for several large corporations in the beverage and grocery industry, Ray had a yearning to build something special, something that had his name on it.
He imagined hiring great employees and operating a business they could count on. He had done the occasional paint job for friends and family, and started getting callbacks. In April of 2012, he decided he’d put his name on a painting business.
In the early years of Wright Choice Painting, Ray collaborated with the roofing industry and painted for home owners with insurance settlements for hail damage. Over time, referrals were coming in from outside the roofing industry. More teams were trained and hired as the business expanded to accommodate the demand.
“I want the home owner to know that I’m here to help, and I want them to hear from me that we have the resources to paint their house.” — Ray Wright, Owner
Burke, Ray’s right-hand man, is a guy Ray has known for thirty years. Mary, who handles payroll, is a long-time colleague and friend. Ray wants his employees and his paint teams to feel like Wright Choice Painting is their company. He fosters a sense of ownership and pride in the work they do. He holds them accountable and expects the same from them. And he’s the first to acknowledge that the success of the company—now and going forward—belongs to the entire team.
